Little Fashion Designers

A journey took students on a creative exploration of traditional clothing and patterns from around the world. Each week, they discovered a different culture, beginning with Indian textiles by creating tie-dye inspired fabrics and designing colourful dresses influenced by Bandhani patterns. They then explored Polish floral folk art, decorating figures with intricate, layered flower designs, before moving on to Chinese culture, where they designed elegant cheongsam dresses inspired by blossom motifs.

The journey concluded with Spanish flamenco fashion, as students decorated dresses using iconic polka dot patterns. Through these hands-on activities, students learned about cultural identity, traditional design, and the significance of patterns and colours across different countries, while developing their creativity and artistic skills.
