This learning journey introduces students to the world of fashion design through a creative exploration of traditional clothing, textiles, and patterns from cultures around the globe. Each week, students discover a new culture, fashion trend, or design movement, inspiring their own creative practice.

 

Throughout the programme, children will develop their skills by designing their own clothing, hats, and accessories while experimenting with printmaking, pattern creation, and the fundamentals of colour theory.

Students will also explore the complete fashion design process, from initial inspiration and mood boards to sketching, prototyping, and presenting their final creations.

 

Through hands-on activities, they will experiment with different materials, textures, and sustainable design approaches while learning how fashion can communicate identity, culture, and personal expression.

 

By the end of the journey, students will build confidence in developing original ideas and gain an understanding of how designers transform concepts into wearable designs.
